To be fair, it's nice to have a mobile game which genuinely encourages exercise. Have to walk all around to find them, if you catch an egg you need to walk a certain distance to hatch it, up to 10km for some. Better than another game where kids can just sit on their arses all day.
I haven't got it yet, but I eagerly await its official release. For some reason the unofficial methods don't work for me.

A lot of my mates are doing this. Ends up taking us twice as long to get anywhere because we have to make detours to catch all the Pokemon. Last week me and a few mates drove to France, and we nearly missed our ferry because of all the Pokemon they were trying to catch near Dover port.

Android is easier, you just have to accept that you're downloading from an unknown source. This works with other apps that aren't available here in the UK also.
Both sets of instructions are here. Apple looks slightly more complicated.
